Delete your account
This removes your brewd account and everything you have synced to our server. You do not need the app installed to ask for it, and once it runs it cannot be undone.
Ask for deletion
Give us the address on your account and we will email you a link. Deletion runs when you open that link and press the button on it, which is how we check the request came from you. The link is good for 30 minutes and works once; ask twice and only the newer one opens.
If nothing reaches you, look in your spam folder, then write toprivacy@getbrewd.app and we will take it from there.
Inside the app is quicker
If brewd is installed and you are signed in, delete from there instead: open Settings and tap delete your account, in the you card at the top. It runs as soon as you confirm, with no email in between. This form is here for when the app is gone, or you cannot get into it.
Your journal stays on your phone
Deleting your account clears what sits on our server. It does not touch the journal on your phone: your entries, photos, taste tags, wishlist and punchcards stay exactly where they are, and brewd keeps working, signed out, as the local journal it was before you made an account.
If you want that gone too, delete the app. That erases it at once, and once your account is gone we hold no copy to hand back.
What gets deleted
- Your account: your email address, your name, your profile picture, the record of how you signed in, every session on it, and any sign-in code still waiting to be used.
- Everything you synced: your entries and the cafés attached to them, your wishlist, the punchcards you picked and how you styled them, and your photos.
- Your subscription record: the row on our server saying what you have unlocked, and your customer record at RevenueCat, who run subscriptions for us.
- Your Apple sign-in link, if you used one. We ask Apple to unlink brewd from your Apple ID at the same time, and if that one step fails we tell you how to do it yourself.
It happens there and then. There is no grace period and no undo, and we cannot bring an account back for you afterwards.
This does not cancel brewd+
Your subscription is billed by Apple or Google, and only they can stop it. Cancel it in yourApp Store orPlay Store account settings. Deleting your account does not cancel it, and cancelling it does not delete your account, so if you want both, do both.
If you never signed in
Then there is no account to delete, and nothing you have written has ever left your phone. The one thing we hold is a small subscription record against an anonymous id, and thedata deletion page has the steps for clearing that.
